WAPDA Chairman Lt. Gen. (retd) Muzammil Hussain called on Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan here on Monday. Provincial Ministers Nawabzada Tariq Hussain Magsi and Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa were also present on the occasion. Issues related to construction were discussed, especially the progress of construction of Knoll Dam Jhal Magsi project and completion of Kachhi Canal. The Chairman WAPDA informed that the documents of Knoll Dam project have been completed. He said that the tender would be issued soon and completion and expansion of Kachhi Canal Phase-I would also be ensured. Talking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that with the construction and development of water reservoirs and construction of dams, millions of acres of land in Balochistan could be brought under cultivation which would make the country self-sufficient in food production. Can be walked on the path of, he said Stressing on the need to ensure implementation of phase one and expansion projects of Naal project, he said that Kachi Canal would enhance the economic development of the province and create ample employment opportunities.
