The Honorary Consul General of Pakistan based in Philadelphia city of USA and prominent veterinary surgeon, Dr. Inayat Hussain Kathio called on the Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan here at the CM’s secretariat on Wednesday.
Also present in the meeting was the Parliamentary Secretary for Minorities Affairs, Dhanesh Kumar.
During the course of the meeting, the matters pertaining to the development of the livestock sector, improvement in the growth of the local cattle were discussed.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the provincial government is determined to develop the livestock sector in the province just because it has great potential.
He said that not only the livestock sector, but there’s also potential in the dairy development sector in the province.
He was of the strong view that the economy of the province and country would be stabled with the development of the livestock sector. In addition to it, the country’s foreign exchange could also be increased through the exports from the same sector, he maintained.
He also said that the steps are being taken for preparing regular policy and legislation for the promotion of livestock and poultry in the province. With this, the growers associated with the sector would be economically strengthened paving the way for sustainable development of the sector, he added.
Talking to the Chief Minister, Dr. Inayat Hussain said that he is ready to provide free services for the betterment of the livestock in the province.
He said that he would be delivering a lecture on the modern research and use of scientific methods in the livestock sector, to the faculty and students in universities of the province.
The Chief Minister hailed the announcement and assured that every possible cooperation would be extended in this regard
