During the meeting held to review the steps taken to rectify the deficiencies found in the ongoing projects for beautification of Airport Road, Chairman Chief Minister’s Inspection Team Sajjad Ahmed Bhatta, Secretary Communications and Construction Noorul Amin Mengal, Member Chief Minister’s Inspection Team Kaleemullah, Commissioner Quetta Division Usman Ali Khan and other concerned officials were present in the meeting. The Chief Minister said that the quality of these projects could not be improved without rectifying the weaknesses and shortcomings which he had identified during the inspection of these projects. They He said that the quality of construction cannot be ensured unless we address the shortcomings of the construction projects and fix them. The Chief Minister said that when the construction projects in Quetta itself are substandard, then the quality of projects within the province. Expressing dissatisfaction over the report of the Chief Minister’s inspection team regarding the Nawa Kali Road project, the Chief Minister said that the report did not reveal the shortcomings of the project which he had personally reviewed. The Chief Minister directed that safety measures should be taken to rectify the shortcomings of the road, improve the quality and safety of the people of the area and to prevent any untoward accident on the project under construction.
