Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan chaired a high-level consultative meeting of coalition partners to review and finalize the forthcoming budget for FY 2021-22.

 

The meeting was attended by the Ministers, MPA’s of the coalition parties including Chief Secretary Balochistan and other high-level officers. A detailed briefing on the current fiscal year budget was given by the officials of the Finance Department. The meeting was briefed on development and non-development expenditures, receipts and Budget Timeline 22-2021. It was informed that the size of the non-developmental supplementary budget has been reduced drastically by ensuring financial discipline in the current financial year.  A briefing was also given on the nature of social funds and programs. The forthcoming budget considered the proposal to start internship programs for unemployed engineers and graduates. Various proposals for providing relief to the government employees were also considered.  Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that Decentralization is inevitable for better use of funds. He said that departments must adhere to a strict financial discipline policy.  The Chief Minister said that a comprehensive program is being formulated in the budget to provide relief to the common man. The annual development program will focus on education, health, social security and other social sectors, he said.
