A high level meeting chaired by Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan reviewed important issues related to Eid-ul-Adha and Muharram SOPs, security, sanitation and other issues. Provincial Ministers Mir Zia Langu, Mir Zahoor Ahmad Baledi Noor Mohammad Damar, Parliamentary Secretary Bushra Rind, Additional Chief Secretary Home Hafiz Abdul Basit, IG Police Mohsin Hassan Butt, Secretaries of concerned departments, Administrator Quetta Tariq Mengal and other concerned officials attended the meeting. Attending the meeting, ACS Admission Hafiz Abdul Basit while briefing about security, measures for holding Eid gatherings and other related matters said that Eid prayers would be offered in 189 Eid venues in Quetta. Coordinated and effective measures have been taken in terms of measures, arrangements and security while collection of sacrificial skins has been banned on all banned organizations. Briefing the meeting, it was informed that in 74 government-run cattle markets across the province. Verona virus prevention, cleaning and Congo virus prevention have been arranged, the livestock department while briefing the meeting said that spray teams have been deployed in cattle markets while spraying at various entry points and cattle markets. It was informed in the briefing given by the Health Department officials that mobile teams including Health Rapid Response Team are fully operational in the cattle markets. The meeting was attended by Divisional Commissioners, QMC and Municipal Institutions. It was directed to take effective measures for cleaning and disposal of sacrificial impurities after Eid. The meeting decided to keep amusement parks and parks across the province completely closed during Eid, while bazaars on the occasion of Eid. It was also decided to allow markets to operate from 9 am to 12 noon. Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister appealed to the people to avoid gatherings while celebrating Eid simply in view of the corona virus and more. He said that if the precautionary measures are fully implemented during Eid and Muharram, the outbreak of Corona virus from Balochistan would be eradicated It will be easy to do, the cooperation of the people is indispensable for the implementation of SOPs, the Chief Minister directed the concerned authorities to pay special attention to municipal services and health services on the occasion of Eid and during Muharram. Take precautionary measures in view of the season, the Chief Minister said, adding that those who will do a good job will surely be appreciated. He said that the population of the province and the challenges here are different from other provinces which need more priority measures. The Chief Minister directed the Information Secretary to further activate the teams of the department to effectively highlight the government’s vision and government initiatives for the convenience of the people during Eid and Muharram.
