Government of Balochistan decides to provide assistance package to registered mosques across the province during the holy month of Ramzan, Lockdown situation, law and order and other issues concerned taken in account.
It was decided in a high level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan and directions were endorsed to Home Department to finalize package details immediately. The meeting was attended by Minister Home & Tribal Affairs Mir Zia Ullah Langove, Chief Secretary Balochistan Fazeel Asghar, Additional Chief Secretary Home Hafiz Abdul Basit, I.G Police Mohsin Butt, Secretary Helath, Additional AIG Police, DIG Special Branch, Commandant Ghaza Band Scouts and other concerned officials.
Meeting also advocated in Implementation of 20-point SOP’s for religious congregation and Taraweeh prayers in mosques across the province, including Quetta that may be ensured properly.
It has also been upheld that the people should also abide by the prescribed procedure described in the SOPs in Taraweeh prayers; also the current situation of lockdown will be maintained.
Decision in the meeting were also resolved along with Instructions issued to police and law enforcement agencies, that those who deliberately violate the lockdown will be locked up PCSIR laboratory at Mian Ghundi isolation camp and tests will be made for corona virus, along with charged under section 144 to the shopkeepers and others.
In the meeting it has also been taken in account that tenants of shops which are owned by Local Government and other Government departments will be given a waiver of two month rents.
Also the police will highlight the benefits of wearing masks to the public and the government will also provide masks to the public in the nakas.
Balochistan resident’s that are coming from other countries The Federal Government, Government of Punjab and Sindh will be contacted to provide quarantine and testing facilities in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi to the people of Balochistan on their return home.
It has also been decided in the meeting that proper security will be maintained in the Holy month and extra contingent will be provided to the mosques and public places for this comprehensive roadmap has been prepared, Moreover, the security of Doctors and paramedical staff has been ensured properly before.
Home department officials have informed the meeting that 143 people returned back from Iran are in Taftan, there are also those who belong to other provinces besides Balochistan, including pilgrims, traders and laborers and all of them have tested negative. People from other provinces are being sent back. Meeting was also informed that in Balochistan 3366 Tablighi Jumait members are there which were quarantined for 14 days in the quarantine where they are residing currently in the said Mosques. Moreover they will be sent back to their respective provinces after clearance. The meeting has appreciated the feedback and cooperation they made.
Chief Minister Balochistan said that it is responsibility of the Government to ensure the safety of its people, but people by their own must cooperate, moreover random sampling will pave the ratio of Corona virus spread.
